I’m Faidra, a Level 7 qualified counsellor and psychotherapist offering trauma-informed online counselling for adults across the UK.
Online counselling and psychotherapy provide a safe, confidential and supportive space to explore what you're experiencing from the comfort of your own home. I support adults with anxiety, low mood, stress, relationships, self-esteem, grief and difficult life experiences, with a particular interest in trauma, childhood trauma, domestic abuse, emotional abuse, coercive control and complex PTSD.
You may be considering counselling because you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed or low, struggling with your relationships or self-esteem, coping with grief or a difficult life change, or trying to make sense of something you've experienced.
Online counselling can be a flexible way to access therapy if you prefer to talk from your own space, have a busy schedule, live further away, or find attending appointments in person difficult.
Online counselling can be a helpful option if you would prefer to access therapy from home, live anywhere in the UK and would prefer to access counselling online
It may suit you if you:
Online counselling is not necessarily the right option for everyone. During an initial consultation, we can talk about what you are looking for and whether online counselling feels appropriate for your circumstances.
You may be considering counselling because something has happened in your life that you are finding difficult to process, or because you have been struggling with how you feel for a long time.
You may be experiencing anxiety, feeling low or overwhelmed, struggling with your confidence or self-esteem, having difficulties in your relationships, coping with grief or a difficult life change, or trying to make sense of experiences from your past.
I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including:
You may not have a clear understanding of why you are feeling the way you do. Sometimes difficult experiences can show up through anxiety, low self-esteem, problems in relationships, feeling constantly on edge, emotional overwhelm or difficulty trusting yourself or others.
Counselling can provide a confidential space to explore what you are experiencing, understand patterns that may have developed over time, and begin to find ways of coping and moving forward.
You do not need to have everything figured out before starting counselling. We can begin with what feels most important to you.

How online counselling works
Online counselling takes place via a secure video call. You will need:
Sessions are 50 minutes and take place at an agreed regular time, usually weekly or fortnightly depending on your needs.

I’m Faidra, a Level 7 qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with over a decade of NHS experience.
My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, and I have a particular interest in trauma, childhood trauma, domestic abuse, attachment difficulties and the lasting impact of difficult life experiences.
I offer online counselling to adults across the UK, providing a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore what you're experiencing at a pace that feels manageable for you.
You will be offered a safe, supportive and confidential space where you can talk openly about what is troubling you. There is no pressure to talk about anything before you feel ready.
Therapy moves at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on what feels most helpful at each stage of your process. You can bring whatever feels most important to you, whether you are dealing with a specific difficulty or simply feel that things have become difficult to manage.
I work in a trauma-informed and integrative way, meaning I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs. This may include person-centred therapy, CBT, attachment-informed work, Gestalt therapy and other approaches that can support greater emotional understanding and self-awareness.
My aim is to offer a compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences, understand patterns that may be affecting you and work towards meaningful change at a pace that feels appropriate for you.
Online counselling may be helpful if you:
Online counselling is confidential. What you share in sessions is treated with respect and privacy.
Any limits to confidentiality will be explained clearly before therapy begins, so you can understand how confidentiality works before starting counselling.
If you're considering online counselling and would like to talk about what you're experiencing, you're welcome to arrange a free 15-minute initial consultation.
We can briefly discuss what you're looking for, answer any questions you may have and consider whether online counselling feels appropriate for you and whether working together feels like a good fit.
You don't need to have everything figured out before getting in touch. You can start by telling me a little about what's been going on and what you'd like support with.
Online counselling is available to adults across the UK.
